You will want to know how much money you can make from running your speed dating business. This information is hard to find! You’re best off to send us your details and we can talk to you about what you can reasonably expect. This useful overview is a good starting point, but it varies from place to place.

There are two factors you need to consider:

  • Ticket sales
  • Advertising costs

Sales

Typically we sell 40 tickets per event – 20 men and 20 women. There are many different formats we tell you about, but this is the most standard. You can calculate the total revenues below – this is a typical example:


40 x €25 = €1,000 / 40 x $30 = $1,200

Running just one speed dating event per month would mean 12 per annum:


12 x €1,000 = €12,000 / 12 x $1,200 = $14,400

Depending on where you are, you may of course be able to run more than one speed dating event per month. 12 a year can be achieved on a part-time basis. You can also scale up to a full time speed dating business with many events - multiply the numbers above by 2, 3 or 4. Both approaches are viable - our service works for both!

Advertising Costs

The principal running cost is advertising your events. At the start marketing costs may be higher as you need to gain exposure, but come down over time as your events become more widely known. You can expect to spend around 15-20% of your ticket sales on advertising.

The total cost also depends how many events you decide to run per year.
